On Thursday, October 1st, our Recruitment Department attended the second edition of the 24h for Employment and Training exhibition which took place at the Cité de la Mer. A look back on this more than productive day.
The first edition of the 24h of Employment and Training Fair was a real success for our Recruitment department, which defined this day as “a marathon day”. It is therefore quite natural that the FIVA Group represented by Aurélie Marichal, our Recruitment Officer and Léa Levoy, our Human Resources trainee, has renewed its presence for this second edition.
« We had some fears, particularly because of the current health situation, but also the fact that visitors had to register, which can slow down some of them, confides Aurélie Marichal. In the end, the visitors were there for our greatest pleasure! »
Indeed, the FIVA Group was again very successful this year with a continuous queue in front of its stand.
« It was my first experience in a living room and we can say that it was quite impressive, says Léa Levoy. We saw more than 80 people during the day, so it was very enriching for me. »
« The profiles have come and gone and we haven’t been flooded with applications for internships or work-study programs, which is the case most of the time, explains Aurélie Marichal. I’m delighted because we’ve met some very good supervisors and engineers. »
This second edition was therefore a success with only half as many visitors as last year.
« Personally, I didn’t feel this drop in visits at all, concludes Aurélie. I think that the success of this edition, despite the current context, is also due to the very good organization of the show. A special application has been set up so that CVs can be scanned via QR code and thus avoid exchanging papers. The application is very easy to use and allows us to make a more efficient report because we can find our notes and assessments for each candidate received. Overall this second edition was largely up to our expectations so we look forward to the third edition next year! »
