For months, Australia has had to deal with major fires ravaging everything in their path. Faced with the situation, many jackpot funds were created to help the Australians. The FIVA Group and its employees also wanted to support them.
For 240 consecutive days, Australia has been ravaged by colossal and uncontrollable bushfires. 3,000 houses were destroyed, about 12.6 million hectares of farmland, forests and scrub went up in smoke and many animals were killed. The consequences will be severe and it will take many months before the exact extent of the damage is known, and years to restore what can be restored.
Faced with this terrible situation, the FIVA Group wished to support and help Australia.
« We feel particularly affected by these fires because the FIVA Group has three Australian entities, explains Serge Boniface – Group Managing Director. Although they have not been directly affected, it is still a heavy impact on their country. So we wanted to be at their side and show them our support! »
To this end, the company sent out a call to employees to donate to the fund set up by the Government of South Australia. These donations are intended for residents, businesses, firefighters and animals affected by the fires. The company has also committed to doubling the donations made by its employees.
The Group’s employees responded to this request. A total of $1000 was donated to the fund created by Steven Marshall, Prime Minister of South Australia.
