It’s official, Kadego-Cadgile, entity of the FIVA Group, has partnered with the universities of South Australia and Adelaide to develop a new Virtual Reality tool.
The Australian government has set up a funding program, called the “Collaborative Research Fund”, which aims to develop innovation partnerships for the defense sector. Within this framework, Steven Marshall, Australian Prime Minister, announced last week the beneficiaries of this program. Kadego-Cadgile and the Universities of South Australia and Adelaide have been confirmed as recipients of a grant for their new innovative Virtual Reality project.
« We will work together to develop a new Virtual Reality tool that uses digital mannequins to address the ergonomic challenges posed by military ships, said Gavan Doyle, Managing Director of Innovation and Manufacturing. This innovation will enable easy and effective design evaluation in complex environments such as submarines. The VR headset user will be able to immerse themselves in different body shapes and sizes which is very useful during design reviews as it will make it easier to identify ergonomic issues due to different body sizes. It is a new innovative and configurable system that can also be used in other sectors of activity. »
In addition to the creation of a new powerful Virtual Reality tool, this program allows us to strengthen our link with the academic world and the defense sector.
« I am delighted to be associated with these two universities on this new project, says Chris Stoker, in charge of technical business development at Kadego-Cadgile, because it will allow us to work on high-level R&D (Research & Development). It will be a very rewarding work for our collaborators! »
This new partnership highlights Kadego-Cadgile’s expertise in this field and confirms the development of the FIVA Group in Australia.
