Summary of the year 2019 with Alexandre Grand-Guillot, our Normandy windsurfer.
« To be completely honest, I didn’t expect a season like this, said Alexandre Grand-Guillot. Unfortunately, we didn’t have much luck with the weather conditions, it was a bit of a lottery, but that’s what happens in this sport. I also had to deal with a few injuries that penalized me but I took the time to take care of them for next season. All these adventures I see them as an apprenticeship and a new experience to come back even stronger in 2020! »
Alexandre’s competitions, in brief :
- World Cup Circuit: Alexandre finished 33rd in the two stages that took place in the Canary Islands. Unfortunately, he could not participate in the stages that took place in Germany and Hawaii because of a back injury. He therefore finished 47th in the general classification of the circuit,
- French Wave Funboard Championship : Alexandre finishes in 5th position/32 in the final ranking and is placed in 2nd position during the super session.
What about 2020?
« Like every year, I am motivated and I want to give the best of me, concludes Alexander. 2020 will be a more complete season with more competitions. It will therefore be more intense and stimulating, I can’t wait! As for the objective: I would like to make a TOP 25 for the World Cup, a podium for the French Championship and a TOP 10 for the European Championship. I’m determined to reach them and for that I’ve started a preparation consistent with my coach. I’m in the starting blocks for the season. 2020 ! »
