On Wednesday 19 February 2020, miles from France, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the FIVA Group and its two Australian entities (Cadgile & Kadego) and TAFE SA, South Australia’s largest vocational education and training organisation.
Industrial and educational collaboration focused on future skills needs in South Australia!
This partnership aims to address future skills needs in the shipbuilding sector. It will also allow TAFE SA to adapt its programs to 4.0 engineering by including virtual reality, augmented reality and 3D printing. One of the objectives of this partnership is to encourage more students to complete internships and thus train them in the realities of the professional world so that they can acquire skills relevant to the industry.
« This partnership will not only allow FIVA Group to make itself known to students by introducing them to our activities, but also to offer an internship program and thus attract students to careers in engineering. »
Serge Boniface, Managing Director of the FIVA Group.
Skill needs in the line of fire!
This partnership will help TAFE SA identify the skills needs of the industry and promote career opportunities in the sector.
« I am delighted to be able to work with experienced industry partners. This will allow us to adapt our curriculum and develop new skills to meet the growing needs of industry. We will offer great opportunities to our students and thus ensure a good preparation for their professional life. »
David Coltman – Managing Director of TAFE SA
Cadgile & Kadego, the Australian entities of the FIVA Group, are also pleased with this new partnership.
« This memorandum of understanding comes at just the right time. The recent cooperation between Cadgile and Kadego offers students a complete visibility of digital engineering. »
Gary Mc Rae, Managing Director of Cadgile
Indeed, the combination of Kadego’s design and visualization capabilities and Cadgile’s detailed design knowledge will allow students to understand digital engineering in its entirety.
« I look forward to establishing this learning partnership and ensuring that students are prepared to be quickly operational in engineering and manufacturing. »
Gavan Doyle, Managing Director of Kadego
A win-win partnership that will undoubtedly be very rewarding and productive!
