Did you miss the FIVA Group’s 2018 news? Don’t worry, we have prepared a short summary of all our major events.
In 2018, the FIVA Group made a name for itself! Indeed, the company was present at many key events such as the Rendez-vous d’Affaires de Normandie in Deauville (May), the World Nuclear Exhibition in Paris (June), an unmissable event for nuclear heavyweights and to end the year in style, we participated in the EURONAVAL exhibition (October).
These events were an opportunity for the FIVA Group to promote its know-how, identify new market opportunities, exchange with its customers, renew certain contacts and also make major announcements!
Indeed, during the EURONAVAL exhibition, a world meeting for the naval technologies of the future, the FIVA Group was noticed not only thanks to an original stand but also thanks to the two major announcements made.
The first major announcement, and not the least: the signing of a cooperation agreement with the Australian state-owned company ASC. The announcement was made in the presence of Steven Marschall, Prime Minister of South Australia. This cooperation will enable both entities to develop a capacity for studies in moving in and industrialization. The FIVA Group will be able to benefit from ASC’s significant experience in design, construction and in maintenance and will be able to benefit from its experience in processes techniques and tools used by Naval Group.
The other major announcement made at EURONAVAL 2018 is the acquisition of South Australia’s largest independent multidisciplinary engineering company: CADGILE. The purpose of this acquisition for the Group is to ramp up and prepare to meet Naval Group’s engineering needs in Australia on the construction program for the twelve submarines derived from the Barracuda.
Two great and beautiful news items that show our desire to expand internationally.
Given the importance of future projects, both in terms of technical complexity and duration, our company is in full development. It is in this dynamic that the Human Resources department met new recruits at the PRO&MER exhibition in Lorient (March). She has also given several presentations to various engineering schools (INSA, ESIGELEC, ENSTA) to promote our company.
This increase in power has also given rise to a brand new project: the launch of a tailor-made training course for Pipe Design Technicians (FOREM). Find more details on this subject in the following articles: “One Training, One Employment (FOREM): Progress Report”, “One Training, One Employment (FOREM): it’s over… for now! ».
In terms of sponsorship and partnership, the company has supported local sport! As a local player, the FIVA Group continued its partnership with the Norman skipper Alexis Loison, who finished third in the 2018 French Offshore Racing Championship. Alexandre Grand-Guillot, our young windsurfer, was crowned Young French Champion. We also supported the Rugby Club Cherbourg Hague, the Challenger tennis tournament in Cherbourg and the association “Les Passagers du Vent”.
All these partnerships continue in 2019, so don’t hesitate to follow our news and that of our champions on our Facebook and LinkedIn pages.
