Alexandre Grand-Guillot: the serious things are starting!
After intensive preparation, Alexandre flew to the Canary Islands on Thursday 4 July for the first two stages of the world circuit. The first, which takes place in Gran Canaria, began on Friday 12 July and will end on 20 July. Then, direction Tenerife for the second stage which will take place from August 5 to 11.
“I trained tirelessly for a month and a half in South Africa and then continued on to Urville with my fitness trainer so I’m ready to fight it out! “said Alexandre Grand-Guillot, a few days before his departure.

“Last year, I won the title of Young French Champion. It was a great victory for me as this was my last year in this category. Now I’m focusing on the World Tour. As one of the youngest on the tour, I have a lot to learn. I will therefore continue to work hard to improve, always keeping in mind the highest steps of the world podium for years to come.
For the winter preparation 2019, I went to South Africa for a month and a half to train. The goal was to enjoy the best possible conditions and be in the water every day to work by repeating the tricks. There is no secret, to continue to progress we must continually find difficulties or areas for improvement… »
Back in Cherbourg, since February, Alexandre’s preparation continues: in the water when the conditions are right or with his sports coach when the sea is calmer.
